My daughter leaks out of her diaper and soaks the carseat and leaks into the seat. It is a huge pain to remove the cover and then clean the seat below!

Since she is about to start Potty training next month I am foreseeing the future clean ups. I am looking for a seat protector for the carseat to provent leaks from geting to the carseat cover and leaking below to the seat itself.

I can already start to smell pee pee in the car and now i know why...i didnt know it was leaking down!

Does anyone know of a store that I can find these. I have seen them on One Step Ahead site but i would like to just run to a store to get one instead.

What can I do next?

I always used lap pads or the small sheet protectors (plastic type material on one side, soft flannel like material on the other) from Babies R Us. Your daughter might surprise you though. I have pottytrained 2 kids without them ever having an accident in the car ... even on long car rides. Good luck w/ the PT.

I believe Babies R Us carries the Piddlepaddle (sp?).

We use the Piddlepads from Babies r us- work great! Just don't put them in the dryer after washing.

We also keep a small potty in the van with a plastic grocery bag covering it and a half of a diaper in the hole- quick and easy clean up! The potty is a solid one piece cheapy bought at Walmart I think (for ynder $10).

I just dropped off two Car Seat protectors at the Denton Civic Center for the Just Between Friends Consignment Sale. I think I priced them at $7. The sale goes on Friday from 7am-6pm, and Sat. from 8am-noon. http://denton.jbfsale.com LOTS of great stuff there!!!

Actually, I just reread your post and realized this isn't exactly what you're wanting. Hmm... I haven't seen a protector for the safety seat itself. Maybe just a thick absorbent towel that she could sit on??

Good luck!

i just used lap pads on the carseat...but i have another tip for once you start your potty training, keep a potty in the car too (& a roll of toilet paper)!!! it has saved my life!! first of all i dont have to pull over to find a restroom & also i dont have to worry about my daughter putting her hands all over a public toilet.
