Playgroup South Austin

I also live in South Austin and am looking for a similar thing for my almost 16 mo. old daughter and I. My neighborhood has a playgroup, but it's very scattered and I usually have time conflicts preventing us from meeting up at their scheduled times. I'm a stay at home mom, and everything revolves around my daughter's napping and eating schedule - which varies day to day. Besides that we'd love to get together with other moms and kids. We enjoy going to the Circle C park (off Slaughter) and the Austin Childrens' Museum - but are open to other places. If you're ever interested, maybe we could meet up.

hi S., i live in north austin but am from south austin. I have a son who will be 3 in march and a baby due in may. I'm a stay at home mom and I'd love to get more social interaction for my son and myself ;).Most of my friends live south and are either working or dont have kids, so he doesnt get a lot of playtime and neither do i. I live in South Austin & have a 20 month old daughter & would love to get together. I would need to research some indoor activities, considering the cold weather. However, it's Texas, and we know it won't last long! I'll check with some other moms on cafemom.com too.

Me too....I need to find some friends for my almost 3 year old; I never see anyone her age in the neighborhood and the neighborhood park is being renovated so there's no one there. There is a playgroup that often (not always) meets Thursdays at Metro Park in Circle C and we've been there a couple of times but haven't met the playgroup yet (the place can be pretty busy) but I'd also like her to meet up with other little kids at the weekend too. I also have a 5 month old and he loves to just watch kids running around so it would be good for him too. Maybe we could go to Metro Park together sometime and try to figure out the whole playgroup thing?

I live in south Austin as well. I recently went back to UT to finish my degree. I work from home and go to school. I have two kids in elementary school and my four year old stays with me when I'm not in school. She adores kids younger than her. She acts as if she's the big sister. What school do you go to?

I live in Oak Hill and have a daughter that will turn 2 in April. There is a MomsClub group in South Austin that meets the first Tuesday of the month for membership meetings at the Oak Hill Methodist Church right off of 290- the first light right after Convict Hill. I am an Interior Designer who decided to stay home with my daughter. I do contract every once in a while, but mostly just take time out with my daughter. My husband and I have been living in Austin for almost 6 years. If you want to get together, let me know!
