I'm a new mom and also new to Texas and I'm looking for a playgroup or other kind of activities which would get me and my 2-month old son out of the house and in contact with other moms. Any ideas which possibilities are there in the Frisco area?

What can I do next?

J.,

You should try looking at www.meetup.com. I know there is several playgroups through that site. There are a couple I know that are geared towards new moms and babies of 2007. Hope you find what you are looking for.

Hi J.. I teach Baby Boot Camp, mom-&-baby fitness clases in Frisco and Plano. We have quite a few moms with little ones in class right now. It's a great way to meet other new moms and spend time with your baby. It's how I met most of my friends in the area when I moved here 2 1/2 years ago. Would love to have you join us, and your first class is free. You can find more info at www.babybootcamp.com.

Hi J. and congrats! As for the playgroups, if you live in a subdivision I just love my little playgroup that consists of neighbors who all have 1 yr olds. We met at the National Night Out coming up in August but if you do live in a neighborhood you could go to Frisco Online and see if there are any playgroups for infants in your neighborhood, if not why not coordinate one and meet life long friends. If this is not an option, you can also go to meetup.com or yahoogroups and locate specific groups in your area. Best of luck to you and your son, I'm sure you'll be chatting w/ other moms in no time!
