Photographer Recommendation for 1 Year Old Pictures

Her rates are reasonable, she will go wherever you want to take pictures and is featured on mamasource, I believe you get a discount if you mention you found her there. She is a friend of mine who has taken great pictures of my son that I have been very happy with.

I just recently had a photographer come take pictures of my little one and she was amazing!! She was willing to go just about anywhere and she did real pictures not poses... Her name is Diana Rothery. I am not sure about prices since my sister set it up for us (she's my brother is laws co-worker) but I would imagine all that could be discussed.

I kow of a great photographer and she lives in Gilbert. She was originally our wedding photographer, but when our 1st was born, we had her come to our house and take some family pics. She is really sweet, listens to what you want, and is very creative. We especially liked that she was able to capture "natural" moments...didn't make us look all posed.

We just got our 1 year old's pictures and family pictures done and Christy Martin is AWESOME! It was fun.

I normally get that plus six other poses (3 sheets of each pose) for like $125 I think, somewhere in there. They do appointments 2 weeks ahead of time and charge no sitting fee.

I took my daughter to Kiddie Kandids at Superstition Springs Shopping Center. They have a very inviting studio (my daughter was terrified of the dark Sears studio), and the photographers are friendly and will work with you on what you would like to see in your pictures. They also have birthday club discounts, and you can pick up your pictures in about 15 minutes after the session.

I LOVE Scott at Contempo at Southern and Gilbert. They also have those photo statues for around $50.00. I have one of both of my kids for their senior pictures. I plan on getting one of my new grandchild too. (we're still awaiting his arrival! could be any day now) You can end up paying a lot there. You just have to not get caught up in buying all of the pictures. Their quality is so much better than Walmart or Sears.

I just had family photos done (me, husband, 20-yr old and 18-yr old stepkids, and 10 month old) by Erin Hicks. She will come to your house and bring the backdrops (I also live in the Gilbert area). It makes it very easy with the baby to do it at home. She was great getting everyone to relax and getting the baby to smile. Hello, I am a professional photographer and my specialty is children. I live in Gilbert also. I charge more than Sears, but less than other pro. photographers, because I wanted to make my business cater to SAHM. I charge $75 for the sitting and you get all of the 4x6 proofs that I take during the sitting (from 20-50 depending on how the sitting goes). My print prices are reasonable. I know you said you didn't want to go to a store but the Target on Alma School and I believe Queen Creek has a photo studio and they do a wonderful job and are very reasonable. I took my daughter there and they did her Graduation pictures and they turned out Awesome. They let her change her clothes several times and for the main package they didn't pick the first picture taken like most places do. You got to choose your package. I loved it and it is the only place I go for pictures now.

Vicki Williams is wonderful with children and does all types of family photos as well. The best part is she comes to your house, and gives you a CD with all the photos so you can share or print as you like. Her website is www.vickspics.net

I absolutely love Portrait Innovations. They have a great package for $9.95- if you can choose just one pose! The larger packages are reasonably priced, too. The photographers are great with small children. We have been several times and always have a great experience. I wasn't impressed with Sears or Target.

We have used Portrait Innovations for the past two years. They are fairly reasonable on their prices and they always take wonderful pictures. They have a location in Chandler, near Chandler Mall.

I second Darlene E. Target Portrait Studios is the best! I'm a photographer myself and that's where I take my kids because they're just awesome. When mine were babies and they just wouldn't cooperate, they'd let us walk around the store a while and actually would cancel their lunch break so we could try again. And for those clingy kids that won't detach from you, they'll 'disguise' you into the portrait so it's still just your baby/kids, but you're holding them. We've used them exclusively since my oldest was 6 months old - he'll be 7 on the 20th (and we'll be there ourselves!) for individual pictures, all 3 kids, family and even extended family group of 11! All were amazing! One of my favorite things is getting to look at all the pictures on the computer and then making my decision.
