Has anyone used Petsmart for training? Just wondering how well it works. I have a 3 year old dog I adopted and she needs some basic training. She is potty trained, but that is about it.
Thank you,
D.

i thoroughly enjoyed the class with my doxie. the different levels of what you want them to learn give you a choice. i used the one at hulen and 20, and the trainers were excellent. they were honest to say that their dogs weren't perfect and training was an ongoing process. 2 thumbs up!

We really liked the classes. and honestly, our two year old lab who we took there, is better behaved than our 6 year old lab who went to man's best friend. (well, sometimes). :)

We just got a puppy a few weeks ago. I will be most likely brining her to Petsmar in Arlington. Only because thats the only place i know of that offers puppy training. They offer puppy, beginner, intermediate, and advance classes. And they are reasonably priced- $109 for 8 weeks.
If you know of anywhere else to take the class, please let me know! I'd love to look into somewhere else.

Hi D.,
I took my pet to the Basic PetSmart Training at the location near Greenville Ave and Lovers in Dallas and had a good experience. My dog learned the basic commands and it really helped with basic socialization with other dogs. Good luck!

My grandpa used Petsmart for his young yorkie-mix and my neighbor used them for her dachund (sp?) weenie dog. Both were very pleased. They learned commands such as "stay", "sit", "come", etc., as well as how to behave in various situations like someone coming to the front door, etc. Good luck!

If you need grooming too, we have used Vicki and LOVE her!

I used their training years ago when I lived in Ohio and they were pretty good; however I have heard things about them around here that would make me have second thoughts. I would suggest that you find a private trainer around you. There are tons around.
