Hi Everyone! I'm adopted, but have been trying to find my family for as long as I can remember. Last week I finally found them!! My birth mom & one of my new brothers left NY this am. & are heading here to NC for our big reunion tomorrow!!
Does anyone have any gift ideas for my birth mom? What about for my 3 brothers, who are in their 20's? My husband is a photographer, so I'm sure we'll have plenty of pics taken (so Mother's Day will be covered this year-haha!).
I'd love to put my fidgety fingers to work tonight, as I anxiously wait:) I want to make her something super special, but I don't know what?
For my brothers, any ideas on something not too big, but really cool? Guys are hard to shop for anyway, so I am stuck since I don't know the 1st thing about them yet!

As a birthmom myself that is anxiously waiting to take that step. An album of your time together would be great. Yes it would have to wait until after the meet up, but I think it would great.
I think it is great that you are wanting to do something for everyone, but truly just your time is best. Plus, it could put them on the spot if they have nothing for you. I agree guys are hard to shop for. Especially if you do not know them well.

I am betting a photo album with pictures of you growing up would be perfect for all of them. if you have kids throw them in there. your adopted family too. That answers questions like what did they look like when they were born growing up what do you like etc. or a picture frame. if you like to do crafts make them a craft or give them one you already have made. use your imagintion combine all of the above if possible.
You probably won't be able to sleep tonight anyway from the excitement. congratualtions and I'm happy for you. I read denises answer and am adding a picture key chain. that way they can show you off. and always have a picture around to brag about you.
Yes! A mini scrapbook of you as you were growing up. Or, buy some photo frames, the kind that holds 3-6 pictures and put you in half of them and leave room for them to go in the others. Make you one too....then you will all have them the same after they send you pics of them or you send them pics after they get there and your hubby takes them. Get the kind that can stand up on a mantel or desk.
Since you like to be creative, you can also do a big scrapbook for your mom, put a pic of you in the front, and then decorate the rest of the pages and leave it for her to fill in after she meets you and gets pictures of you all......
Since they all aren't going to be there, you might want to make a video.....you start it out of just you, talking about what all you have been through, then add your Mom and your brother to it.....then make copies for everyone to have.
