So What Happened?

Update for 2011 - This office staff treated us horribly the last time we went in. I reported it and never received feedback or an apology. I will never set foot in that place again.

2 yrs ago --- Went to Dr. Jeffery Cohen at Medical Center Ophthalmology - He was great!!! Thanks so much!!!!

Regarding Dr. Cohen, I took my then 4 1/2 yr old son to see him. He had his eyes dilated and Dr Cohen proceeded to doing the eye exam 30 mins later. Apparently my son was having some discomfort, so he was flinching his eyes. Dr. Cohen then told my son to stop being such a sissy and that he had little girls that didnt squirm as much as he was. Doctors who claim to be "pediatric" specialists should really have SOME patience for children. Dont take your child here unless you want him/her to be called a sissy...

Hi. My son age 2 also needed a Pediatric Opthamologist. We were referred to Dr. Susan Berry as she is the only one that Humana has in SA. It took us 2 months to get an appointment to see her. I took 1/2 day off from work as she is clear across town. We arrived at our appointment 20 mins before our scheduled visit and it took them almoust 45 mins to call us back. We then waited in the room another 30 mins before she ever came in. From my perspective she doesn't have any patience with children or regard for the importance of time. I don't believe she would have seen us if we would have arrived 1 hour and 15 mins. late. All in all our total appointment time was a little over 3 hours. Of course that wouldn't have mattered if it was necessary. While I do not have a recomendation for another Doctor. I do not recomend that you see Dr. Berry. Good luck in your search. We will not be going back to her. If you have an optomitrist for yourself you may ask who they recomend.
