Does anyone know of a very reputable dermatologist in the BROWARD county area in Florida. My son suffers from eczema and I am at my wit's end. I have been to a dermatologist 4 times with some relief but it keeps coming back and worse. PLEASE HELP ME!!

What can I do next?

allergies!! it could be a certain food or foods, such as dairy, or a fruit. it could also be a chemical such as detergent or the soap he uses. eczema is triggered in my child by a few things some of which we are still trying to figure out, such as when she eats too much dairy, i think. she definitely gets it from eating strawberries and we had to stop using johnson's bathing/body products or anything not lightly scented as it would make her itchy. we use aveeno and cetaphil lotion, and also use sensitive skin detergent for her laundry. but this was all a process of elimination. it may take a while to figure it out but worth it in the long run. good luck!!

Good morning, I don't have a pediatric dermatologist but what you may need is a good pediatric allergist. My nephew and my daughter both had problems with excema as babies and after much heartache, doctors and various remedies that proved useless it was found that allergy to milk/dairy and eggs was the cause. Excema is a very common side effect of childrens allergy as well as greenish poop!(caused from digestive irritation). Two pediatricians missed this and it was only after much discussion with many moms that we went for allergy testing and and were finally able to eliminate the cause of the excema and find some relief!! Good luck.

I've been seeing a dermatologist for almost a year for skin issues that started as shingles, then an unexplained rash and more ongoing issues (all - I think - related to rediation therapy that I went through for breast cancer) and I love her. She's not a "Pediatric" Dermatologist by title but I do see a lot of children/teens in her waiting room often. You could call and ask, I suppose. Her name is Ewa Kolanko. She has 2 offices, one at Memorial Hospital West, ###-###-#### and one in Weston, ###-###-####. Hope this helps. Best wishes for your son!

Go to www.drfergang.com. He has huge food allegies that NO dermatologist will ever be able to cure. All they can do is give you dangerous meds to apply to cover up the symptoms. His behavior and everything about him will change for the positive if you check NAET.com which is what Dr. Fergang does. She has a free consultation so you lose nothing and gain his beautiful skin, body and brain back! E-mail me if you have any questions. She is in Weston.
