My daughter has to bring the snack to preschool in a couple of weeks and one of the children has a nut allergy. does anyone know of a site that lists peanut free products? Or does anyone know some products that are nut free? Thanks for the help you've always given great advice.

Ok I totally know what yo are going through Nut allergies are hard my brother had one growing up and we always had to take precautions. One thing we found out though is that food manufacturers are required to put a note under the ingredients of a product if there is nuts at all in the product or if it is even made in a facility that makes other things with nuts... Usually the sign will say May contain peanuts, or may contain tree nuts. So make sure that the sign is not on the product and you should be good.

Read the labels. Esp. the allergens a lot will be processed on plants with peanuts and tree nuts so stay away from those.

My kids love it when i use unflavored geletin and 100% apple juice to make jello blocks or cut with cookie cutters. Remember in the US all allergy info for the top allergens is on the label right after the ingredient list. It must even list if the product was processed in a plant next to tree nuts or peanuts.

We have had our girls enrolled at a nut free preschool for the last four years and we bring things like cheese sticks, apples, grapes, pretzels, crackers, yogurt, strawberries, meat and cheese roll-ups, pickles, popcorn, nut-free homebaked goods, carrots, celery and cream cheese, raisons, fresh fruit and vegetables on our snack days. My oldest went there for kindergarten and had to bring nut-free lunches and snacks for just herself. It can be challenging, but there are really plenty of options available. Good luck!

Make sure you know which allergy you are addressing. Everyone's suggestions are really great, but tree nuts and peanuts are not actually the same allergy. Tree nuts such as walnuts, pecans, even coconuts are one allergy, but peanuts are not actually a nut they are a legume (from the bean family). My aunt is highly allergic to tree nuts and can even break out in hives and have her throat close if passing by an open bag of tree nuts, but she can eat peanuts. So there might be a distinction at your preschool. That might help in your planning.
