I'm doing a little tea party with cupcakes for my daughter's 3rd, and was thinking I'd like them to play a game or something. Suggestions?

What can I do next?

pin the tea bag on the tea pot ?
put tea bags all over the room and ask the kids to find them?
decorate a frame with foamy's ? Take a photo of them and then send it with the thank you notes so they can put it in their frame ?

It would cute to get little ceramic cups so they can paint and decorate their own little tea cups to take home. Or you could let them go on a little hunt for treasures or something. Like you could hide rings, necklaces, bracelets etc. Some sugar cubs or some candy. They could go around and find all the stuff then sit down to have tea with some candy and put on the jewelery they found so they can be all dressed up.

3 year olds love music and limbo...just use a broom and some fun music....get those little bodies moving, guarantee a few laughs!

When my DD was 3 she went to a friend’s 3rd bday Tea party. Not necessarily a game but….

The mom asked a friend from work, who was much older, to come to the party and teach the girls old fashioned manners. She taught them how to cross their legs, fold their napkins, drink their tea, how to talk, etc! It was so cute and the girls giggled a lot but followed along.

The Mom didn’t do it herself because she thought her daughter wouldn’t have taken it serious but in retrospect, she would have done it herself when she saw how much fun they actually had =-)

They also decorated cupcakes.

Have fun!

Hi matisse-
I would be inclined to let 'them' decorate their cupcakes...and make little tea sandwiches! You could have the bread cut up (or buy those mini loves)...cukes sliced...spreads...etc. Maybe some strawberries to dip in chocolate...

May be messy...but sure to be fun!

Enjoy!
