I desperately need help. I am searching for a Christian School for my 4-year-old daughter (She will be five in April). Can anyone please recommend a school that is not pricey, but offers a GRAND curriculum? In addition, I have a teen Niece that stays with me as well. The past 10 years she has been home schooled. However, with my family relocating to another state, she has following behind. Please advise if there is a group or perhaps tutors who can help her get back on track. She also struggles with Reading/Writing comprehension and Math.

What can I do next?

Are you in the Atlanta area? I have some good schools in the Atlanta area, both pre-school and the one where my older children attend. www.intownschool.org

B. - what part of town are you looking in for a school. I live in the Johns Creek area, but with crazy traffic you'll want to get recs in your general area.

Where in GA are you? IF you are in Atlanta there are amazing private schools but they are expensive - but there is almost no choice b/c the public schools (jr. high and high schools) in ATL are not where you would want to send your daughter.
The best public primary school is Sarah Smith in Buckhead.
Piadeus and Marist are the 2 best Christian schools.

For your niece, please check out this website. http://www.brightsolutions.us/ It was a lifesaver for our family. It turns out that the most common reason intelligent children struggle with reading/writing/spelling/math is dyslexia. It is very misunderstood. This could help a lot.

As for your daughter, more info on where you are would help.

This is where my child attends preschool. He will attend public kindergarten, but Celebration has kindergarten and first grade and plans to add a grade each year. I don't know what GRAND is... but you can ask. Anyone I've talked to has been happy with the program.

Hi! Welcome to GA. I am not sure where in GA you are, but we go to Providence Christian Academy in Lilburn, GA. WE love it. It is a covenant school so they work with the family to provide and education as well as teaching them about Christ daily. you can go to www.providencechristianacademy.org and check it out. I have not idea what pricey is to you, but it is all on the website if you are close enough. They also have buses that bring kids from Dunwoody, Discover Mills and several other places.
Good luck and I am sure you will find the perfect school for your family.

Welcome to GA. When we came here 6 years ago we were blessed to find St. Timothy School in Stone Mountain. It's great.

The prices are very competitive compared to the many we checked out. The principle and vice principle are some of the best people around. They are very involved with the kids. Good luck with your search.

Welcome! We have been here for 18 years (from Connecticut) and we are home!!!!

You don't say what area of Atlanta you are locating to? That would make quite a difference in what school.

I know of a Christian school in Sugar Hill and one in Suwanee.

Let me know if you would like those locations. D.
