Hi Moms. My husband, my 7 year old daughter, my 4 year old son and myself just moved to Parker from California early August. I'm looking for any recommendations that you wonerful moms might have for me. I spent the last 27 years in one town so I'm a big creature of habit. Any recommendations for the following would be well appreciated:
Pediatrician, Pediatric Dentist, Good hair cut place for my daughter (reasonably priced yet trendy at the same time), Adult doctor, Adult Dentist, Chiropractor

Any other recommendations for good places to eat, great places to go, things that are "must sees", are also appreciated. I'm not working at this time so we are on a pretty tight budget but I still want to be able to do some fun stuff.

What can I do next?

Parker Pediatrics is awesome in particular Dr. Stanga. Dr. Robert Boraz is a really great kids dentist and he has an office in Parker and in Castle Rock, truly awesome guy. Sorry, dont know a great place for a hair cut. For Adult Dr I go to Dr. Staar-Kumosa, she is in the Parker Adventist Hospital, she is a great DR, though sometimes it can be a wait to see her, and I dont know any Chiropractor's sorry.
If you like sushi, then Junz is just an awesome restaurant, the wildlife experience is a fun little museum that is close by, it is my sons favorite though he wont be 4 till next month but it is a fun place!
Good Luck with everything! Hope you enjoy it here!

Oh, yeah there is a nice little famers market on main st on sundays I think from 8-1 (only goes through Oct I think, check out parkers website, it might have more info). Not really big but I think it is pretty nice, there is also a nice park there for kids on main street and parker (and its right across the street from a baskin robbins)! yum!

Welcome to Parker! Seems like you got some good DR stuff. Thought I'd send you 2 great social groups I belong to on Meetup. I love them both. ; )

http://www.meetup.com/mothersandmoredouglascounty/ - I'm a co-leader of this group. This is for moms and we have events for moms with their kids and events for moms to do on their own. I love it. We started as Parker/Castle Rock and just expanded to Douglas Cty this month so most of the members are close by. Several events per month.

Another one is the Parker Cooking Divas. We have one event every month or two but they are always fun and women only - http://www.meetup.com/Parker-Cooking-Divas/.

I'd suggest signing up for both when you're ready to have some fun! : )

Hi, we lived in Parker for a very long time, and just recently moved to Castle Rock. Here are our favorites:

Chiropractor - Alternative Healthcare, Dr. Paul Kulpan. Next to MC Donalds on Parker & Main. I have been seeing him for about 15 years and he has worked wonders on my body and my husbands as well.
Texas Roadhouse - best food around and wonderful prices
Junz - my mom's favorite sushi
Real Deals - home decor store that is wonderful and super cheap. It's only open Thurs and Sat, but well worth it.
Bounce houses - there are a few in Parker, all pretty decent deals.
Monkey Bizness - great for kid play time and mommy rest time. They have a coffee and snack bar and seating area so you can relax while kids play.
Sprouts Farmers Market - best place for cheap produce that is good in quality. They also have a very nice meat counter that you can pick and choose from.
Hair for mom - there's a salon off of Parker and Plaza, I can't think of the name but it's by the liquor store. I went there for a while, they have some great stylists.
Skate park - I think it's off of 20 mile road, but so fun for the kids if you are ok w/ them riding near the big kids. My son is 7 an has soooo much fun there.
That's about all I can think of. Parker is a wonderful place, welcome to the area!

Parker is such a great town - welcome! The only recommendation I can send your way is the best pediatrician in the metro area in my opinion. The practice is called CrownPoint Pediatrics and I just love them. They are ALWAYS accommodating and will get you in same day if you child is sick, including Saturdays. They have two docs and two PAs and tons of support staff. You won't regret going there. We have been seeing Dr. Roos for the past 11 years but Dr. Kalan is good too. If you go there, tell Dr. Roos or the front staff that T. sent you, I like to support good businesses especially when it has to do with my kids and I think they appreciate it when their patients refer them.

Enjoy!

Dr. Jill Weiner is fantastic! She is next to the hospital (she moved her practice to Parker a few months ago and I drive the 20 minutes to see her because I can't imagine another doc seeing my kids). Her number is ###-###-####.
