New Midwife

I recently moved and I am so sad that I will be too far away to see my old midwife. So I am looking for a new one for my checkups and when I have a another child.I live in plymouth and i really dont want to drive more the 15 min. I am a very laidback mother and kinda old fashioned so I am looking for a friendly helpful midwife who will listen and respect my opinions.

What can I do next?

My midwife is great! She delivered my last son and will be delivering our next baby in a few weeks. She is very open to new ideas and respects your opinions. Her practice is called North Metro Midwives and her name is Kathryn Simon. The office is located off of Hwy 55 and Hwy 169. The phone number is ###-###-####. Welcome to the cities!

Hey H.!
I used Kim & Kathy from Dearborn Midwifery in Edina-closer to Mpls/Linden Hills area. I had a VBAC at home with my now 18 month old...not sure if you are looking for a homebirth midwife or a hosp midwife? Perhaps this might help you out?

Wow, a laid back Mother! I'd LOVE to meet you:) There aren't a lot of you around...
Anyways I have a great midwife named Katherine Simons. I also live in Plymouth and she is located in Crystal just off the 169 on the 55 and its pretty close to me so shouldn't be too far away from you either. I love, love her. She is also laid back but a GREAT listener and devoted to her profession.
Here's alink to her website...

I also recommend Kathrine at North Metro Midwives. She has delivered both my boys (14mo & 2 1/2yrs). She is wonderful, supportive, and really compassionate (and kept me laughing throughout both labors!).
