Need to Buy a New Stroller!

I need a light weight stoller for my 8 month old. He is going to be graduating from his infant car seat to a convertible car seat and I only had the snap and go!

There are SO many out there and SO many features. This is my first time around and I am not sure what I SHOULD be looking for vs what is a "nice to have".

Any suggestions or information would be great!!!!

Hi J.,

We bought the stroller below from Babies R Us and LOVE it. I use it for everything...shopping, going to park, etc. It has a swivel front wheel so it is easier to use than other joggers.

Jeep Liberty Limited Urban Terrain Stroller -- Kolcraft
Our Price: $139.99 Babies R Us

Good Luck,

I absolutely love the Chicco umbrella stroller (available at Babies R Us). It's a little bit more expensive than the typical umbrella stroller (~$50 or so), but it so much better. It has a 5 point harness, a little storage underneath it, great sunshade, great wheels, and won't tip over if you hang a diaper bag from it. I get compliments on it all the time. Highly recommend it!

I have a COMBI (Savvy I think?) - it's about as lightweight as you can get, easy to fold too, I think we paid $100. I have twins and we don't use it often because we have the COMBI twin stroller, which is also great. It's really easy to get around because it is so lightweight... storage is lacking, but then again is there ever enough? Good Luck!

Hi! I also have a 8 month old and he is in the convertable carseat as well, he is a chunker! I have the Graco that came with my travel system and it has the cup holders and the 1 hand easy fold down but it is kinda heavy, so you might look for a lightweight one and graco does make them, try babies r us or even Target. Hope this helps!

Hi I am relocating from Chicago to Plano in May and I will say Macfarlan stroller is really good. i KNOW alot of moms who have that brand and really like it. Also the ylive in the city and use it alot, and its very durable and light weight!!

Do not reccomment baby trend as I got that one and it was time for a new stroller only using after three months, I was not happy. I now have a new one its the bagaboo frog! Early mothers day present from the hubbi, could not believe it!!! I was going to get the Macfarlan before he srpung the surprise on me. (pretty reasonable) Plus you have to factor in if you buy a o.k. stroller and then have to buy another one the very next year, its worth spending a little more.

Oh the basic Preg Prego is good to, but kinda pricey.

Peace & Blessings Goodluck!

Be mindful of the weight of the stroller if you're going to be hauling it in and out of your car. Some of those big ones like Graco can weigh as much as 40 pounds. Maclaren is great, but expensive.
