Looking for a private Christian school in the Houston metroplex. We are moving to the area and will end up finding a house near the school. We are looking for a school with a solid classical curriculum that teaches strong Bibilical values. Please let me know if you know of any private schools in the area that you would recomend and why. Prefer schools that go from k-12. Thank you for any tips!!!

Do you have any specific denomination that you are looking for? I am a Native Houstonian and am very familiar with the private schools in the inner loop and close in neighborhoods. I would be happy to make some recommendations. I am also a real estate agent with Keller Williams Metropolitan and would be happy to assist you with finding home. You are welcome to email me at ____@____.com.

Veritas Christian Academy in Bellaire. It is very reasonably priced but the neighborhood is pricey. They just lost their wonderful principal, but the asst principal is taking over and she is great, too. They only go from pre-k to 8th but they are working on getting a high school.

One very wonderful school is Fort Bend Baptist Academy. They are a private campus (not located on a church campus) and they run from K-12, with separate (but close) campuses for elementary, middle and high schools. They are very solid in their Biblical teaching and their academics; for example, in the high school every grade level is required to take a Bible class along with their normal curriculum of math, science, English, social studies and the arts. They also offer American Sign Language, Spanish and French as well as drama, fine arts, band and choir. The high school even has football, basketball and baseball/softball teams! They consistently send graduates on to Rice University, Baylor University, Texas A&M, the military academies, and many more, and their test scores compare favorably to any public school in Fort Bend County. They are located in Sugar Land, which is southwest of Houston. Sugar Land was voted number 3 on Forbes Best Places to Live, and it's a marvelous place to raise children.

You can find out more about the school at www.fbba.org.

Their business office is located at the high school. You can contact them at:
