I just had to do this with my two year old. I used Tea Tree Oil (but you could also use baby oil) and rubbed some on his head and then used a super fine comb to comb it out. It worked awesome!
I though we were all done with this, apparently not. My 2 yr old is a "sweat hog" this is triggering his cradle cap, again. I tried combing it out but he gets frustrated and angry with me. What are some ways you have treated cradle cap? By the way, I'm really into trying home remedies, before I spend big bucks at the Walgreens.

I don't think at this age it's cradle cap anymore - I think it's either dandruff or a more severe medical condition, which is part of the eczema family. I'd start by treating it with dandruff shampoo and try to limit washing until it's really necessary as you don't want to dry his skin out any more. If you think it's eczema or may be, here's a link:

Good luck!

Hi Tonys M.,
I had the same problem . My M. got a soft toothbrush and when washing the Hair use the Soft toothbrush in a circular motion. He might have fun with it. Lol .... Hope this Home remedy works for you and Tony.
Are yo usure it is cradel cap and not somethin gmore like psorasis ?sp? etc, my husband had somehting like cradle cap when he was older but they called it something else and gave him special shamppo and it helped.
