Need a Pediatrician in the Audubon Area

Looking to switch my 3 year old and 8 month old to a new Doctor. I don't have health insurance and the present doctor won't see my children until my large bill is paid off!! I am concerned that my infant has signs of plagiocephaly and repositioning techniques aren't working. I don't want to wait until it's too late. Can anyone recommend a reasonable doctor (i was paying $124. a visit and can't afford it!)?

What can I do next?

Unfortunately I don't have a recommendation for a pediatrician in that area. Why don't you look into getting Chip for the kids so at least they have coverage? My kids lost coverage through their father and I don't have coverage so I applied for Chip, thinking that I make too much, and it's not free, but it's reasonable, they subsidized it. The office visits are free, I think specialists are free, and it's really good insurance. It's worth applying for a seeing what they can do. My children go to Kids First Haverford which is associated with Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. I love the doctor, have been going there for over 5 years. They do have other locations, I'm not sure where though, I would check out their website.

You may want to consider getting health insurance. Every child needs to visit the doctor for more than just well visits. It's going to cost you an arm and a leg to NOT have insurance!!

www.ehealthinsurance.com

This is where I get my son's health insurance from, they do individual coverage and small businesses. You put in your kid's information and it gives you a ton of different types of health insurance as well as GREAT prices to choose from! It's totally worth it and you get free quotes!!! My son has Horizon Blue Cross & Blue Sheild from them and we pay only $150 a month!

Hope this helps & good luck!!

I just moved to the area and I interviewed some doctors I seemed to like West Deptford Pediatrics the best. I haven't actually gone there for an appointment yet but I was really impressed with them when interviewing. Plus they were recommended to me by 4 other moms.
I hope this helps.

Sarah is right. There are government programs that offer children benefits at a reduced rate or for free. Sarah is referring to CHIP which is the Pennsylvania benefits provider for kids. Here in New Jersey it's called NJ Kid Care. I have a friend who was on it several years ago after her husband abandoned her and their son who was a new born at the time. I will try to get the information from her and get it to you. Please feel free to contact me if you don't hear back right away.
