Ok, my daughter is a week old and I am not happy with the doctor that is currently seeing her.
I live in Akron and am looking a a doctor in my area. Does anyone have any doctors that they like?

I'm not sure where you live in Akron, but if you're not too far North, we love Dr. Valeri Hood at Childrens Hospital Physicians Associates (CHPA) in Green.

First of all, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! Babies are wonderful. I also was unhappy with my pediatrician. I finally found a doctors office that is wonderful. It is called Locust Pediatric Care Group, and they are accross the street from Children's hospital's emergency room. They are part of the hospital, so all of the records are there if you ever need to take her to hospital for anything. The office is so nice! everyone is really personable, and they NEVER act like you are a pain in the butt when they have to do something for you (like a dr's office should). they also have toys in the waiting room, so the kids don't get bored, and they play cartoons on the tv, and people are NOT allowed to change the channel! Another great feature is that there is a certified nurse practitioner there also, and she can see your daughter if the dr. is not available; you dont have to wait for the dr to have an opening, or take her to urgent care. They have a helpline too for after hours concerns. Also, although Alyssa is still little, they give books to kids everytime they come in for an appt.! If you can't tell, I LOVE this place. I actually feel like my kids are getting the care and attention they deserve. I really feel like you would love them too! Congratulations. Here is the family doctor we have used since birth. My kids are 22 months and 7 months. She works with Akron Childrens and Akron General.
