Need a Good Color Specialist in Thousand Oaks Area

Hi, I need a referral based on real experience for a good hair color stylist. I made the mistake of going to someone based on their all 5-star reviews online and was so disappointed and came to the conclusion that these reviews must have been fake. So I can't really rely on online reviews so I thought I'd try this.
I have naturally dark hair and like to have some blonde highlights. I've gone to a stylist for years in AZ and she did an amazing job so I know it can be done. The two stylists I've tried here got my hair to a brassy/yellow color. Does anyone know of a stylist who is good color and also can give a good hair color? I would so appreciate some help, I am desperate... so much so that I started coloring my own hair but I can only do as well of a job as the two bad stylists before me lol
Thanks!

What can I do next?

I don't know anyone in TO. If you want to go to the valley (Lake Balboa/Van Nuys area), I have someone for you.

Patty Whelan has been doing my husband's hair for over 20 years and no one can tell that he gets his hair colored - everyone thinks he is a natural blonde. She does mine now too to cover the gray on my dark hair. She actually travels to our house. Her number is ###-###-####. I understand how you feel, when I first moved to LA I would fly back to New York to get my hair done. Good luck!

Hi. Melissa Noble at the Guy Matthew Salon in Agoura Hills is amazing. She really has talent and will do you right. She is also one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. I drive from Ventura just to see her. Good luck!

E., I don't have a name for you. But I found my stylist by going online and typing in the name of my color. (I use Goldwell.) I typed in my state and zip and it told me what salons used my color. You could go in and ask to speak to the owner and tell him or her that you want one of the senior stylists, and why. The senior stylists cost more, just be aware, but they are worth it.

Btw, I love Goldwell color. It's the best I've ever had - much better than Redkin.

Hope this helps,
Dawn

AH! I have no suggestions, but give good ol' Thousand Oaks a hello from a TO native :) I'm sure all of my hair dressers are long gone.

I could be totally wrong-but CA has very strict enviormental laws. I wonder if products can be used in AZ that cant be used here. Just an idea.
