I was wanting to know if any moms out there might be able to give me some feedback on a car seat my daughter in still in the carrie but I am wanting to look for a rear and front facing seat that she will be more comfy in... The problem I have bought 2 and had to return them they are to big for my car here is the thing I have an 07 pathfinder it looks like once I change seats she will not longer be able to be in the center due to all seats seem to big to fit there I have to have room in the car I as well have a 9 year old and two 14 yr olds so we will all have to fit would love some feedback on this thanks my 7 month old is only 16 lbs but I just want to be able to change seats by the time she is 8-9 months

What can I do next?

Hi T.,

You could also look into the Sunshine Kids Radians (one goes up to 65 pounds and one goes up to 80 pounds). They both face rear for kids 5 pounds and up. They are the most narrow carseats out there and are very safe and easy to install. They are a bit pricey, but can last until your kids are out of carseats altogether.

Have you tried the Britax Roundabout they are on the smaller side. They do seem way bulky when they are rear facing, but it will only be for a couple of months then you face her forward which does not take up to much room.

The Britax Diplomat:

I have an RX8 and this fits in my rear bucket seats very well. I love Britax for the safety and the locking system. I won't own another type of carseat.

Whatever seat you finally choose, remember that until age one the baby still rides backwards in the car seat.

Britax Roundabout or Diplomat are built for small cars. Babies R Us will let you bring the carseat out to your car to try it out. They will have an employee follow you out to the car and help you out. I think Lone Star Kids may let you do that, too.

I also reccomend the Radian. It is narrowest convertble carseat, and is also rated very high in safety. I had to get one for my daughter when I had twins and had to put 2 infant carriers and her carseat in the back seat.
