My little one is turning one in sept and we decided to have her party at the Park. We reserved a pavillion by calling the park. there was a minimal fee and deposit for it.

You can have something small and invite family and God parents and have a cake and food for the other smaller cousins and your relatives...."1" yr olds tire out really fast so nothing over 2hours....., Houston, Texas

Does your apartment have a club room you could use?

McDonalds or Burger King is probably one of the cheapest places, and little kids don't know the difference, but age one may be too young to have it there. Maybe a park, but it is probably pretty hot for that?

I would see if you could have it at a friend or relative's house, as that is really the cheapest. Maybe someone else will have a more creative suggestion. For my son's first birthday we called a place and had someone dressed as Barney come to our house and play with the kids - but that was not really inexpensive, and it was kind of cheesy (but the kids did like it).

Oh, someone suggested Chuck E Cheese to someone else - you could do it there w/o the "party" just have it be "dutch" where everyone pays for themselves, and I think you can even bring your own cake. You might want to call them and check (we did this for another one of my kids' birthdays before he was old enough to invite any friends his age).

Good luck!

The park can be very inexpensive. They are usually free and you can grill hot dogs. The play equipment is there to entertain the children. You usually have to get there early in the am to "mark" your spot.

Good Luck and have fun!

Hi N.,
If you live in an apt you should have access to the clubhouse! I've done that before (YEARS ago) but you will probably get a great price for it if you have to pay anything at all!
Good luck!
