Musical Tooth Brushes

Hi Momas.
I am wondering if of you know where I can buy toothbruses that play a song for a minute. I had one a year or two ago for my daughter and now I can not find them. I have noticed with her new tooth brush that she is only brushing for maybe 30 sec. total. That is just not long enough to get her teeth clean. I am needing one that has a 1 minute timer so that she can brush her upper teeth for a minute and then her lower teeth for another minute. I can not use a timer because it wakes up my 3 year old son and my husband. As well as makes the dog bark. I would love to have them in time for Easter but if not not a huge deal. I am wanting one for each of my kids so that they can both become beter brushers.
I know that Wal Mart sold them last year, but they no longer carry them.
Thank you all for any help you can give me.
L.

Hi L.-

I don't know about musical ones, but Walmart used to carry "Firefly" toothbrushes. The bottom tip had a red light that flashed for a certain period of time (not sure if it was a minute). The idea being that the child should brush as long as the light was flashing.

Good luck,
K.

I use the Firefly toothbrushes (Target and Walmart carry them). They blink for one minute, so I brush 5 yr olds teeth for the first minute and he brushes for the second minute. Easy to use that my 2.5 yr old can turn it on, he gets mad if I forget. I love them and best of all is when I forget that it's time for a replacement, the light starts to grow dimmer after so much use and that reminds me to buy a new one. Not expensive either, so give it a try.

try amazon.com . I looked there and they seem to be made by Hasbro or Tooth Tunes. Alot of cute ones! I'll have to keep this in mind!

The orthodontist just gave my son a hourglass (two minute) timer. He just has to watch it and it is completely silent. Also, you can buy the Firefly toothbrushes anywhere (even the dollar store) for around a dollar. They come in two packs with boy and girl colors. I have bought quite a few of those.
