Moving to Big Lake, MN

Hello, I live in Big Lake also and belong to an AWESOME moms group. It is called at-home mom's network. It is a wonderful group of moms and I LOVE it! You can do as much or as little as you'd like. We do some Mom's nights out once in a while too. :) I joined last Spring when I moved to the area and have made many friends and so have my kids. You can choose to sign up to be in an assigned playgroup that runs during the school year and they try to group you with about 3 moms with kids around the ages as your own and you rotate going to each others homes. Playgroup is optional.

River of Life Church, in Elk River has some wonderful Mom's groups that meet during the year. They are located on County Road 1, just north of CR 33.

We call ourselves moms at home network. We schedule a calendar of events each month and have playgroups you can join up with in the fall too. We are friendly, relaxed group.

A Big Lake township resident

Hey J.! We live in Becker, just up the road from Big Lake. Becker has a great MOMS group that meets twice a month at the Becker Baptist Church (non-denom group). Once am onth is playgroup, and once am onth is a speaker/program meeting. ITs wonderful. Also during the summer we meet every Wednesday morning at 9am for a 2 mile walk around town. The kids ride in a stroller and the older kids ride bike, scooters, etc.

J. - Big Lake does have MOPS groups, a great ECFE program, library programs, etc. I run the Chamber of Commerce here in Big Lake - if you would like to stop in the office when you move I have a new resident welcome package called Big Lake Beginnings (free) that I can give you and help you find the info you need.
