What movie do you think I should watch With my children? I was thinking of Mary Poppins or The Sound of Music which I have watched a while ago.
Just asking if anyone remembers what the captian does when he sees Briggitta reading the book in the sound of music. I remember he did something.

He gave her a dirty look, took the book from her and then popped her on her butt with it.
I love both of those movies. I don't remember that scene, but I do know I would have no problem showing them to kids. If the captain does something you find objectionable, you could use it as a talking point with your children as to why and discuss what you would do differently.
I could quote some of the lines from the movie. But I don't remember what happened in that scene.
My daughter LOVES Mary Poppins and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and she is 5 years old. I checked them out from the library.
