Does anyone have any original/creative/just plain good ideas for mother's day? I've done gift cards, flowers, a CD devoted to moms, picture collages, etc. I'm running out of ideas!

I am doing stepping stone handprints from my children at the Day Care. You can get the kits at Hobby Lobby.

This year I am going to do this, I have heard a lot about it on the radio, its called pajamagram. You go online and pick out pajamas or whatever gift you would like, and they put it in a pretty hat box and mail it to her already wrapped and pretty. The website is www.pajamagram.com.

I'm not exactly sure what kind of ideas you want..if it's things for kids to do..
young ones...hand prints and a poem? I know I loved that!
Older ones...you can buy drinking glasses at a dollar staore and some glass etching acid from a craft store and some stinlis and create special glasses for mom.

THants all I can think of for now..if I think of any latter, I'll let you know : ) Good luck with whatever you decide.

This year we got our mom an iPod Nano. Apple is offering free shipping and engraving. Not a traditional gift, and even though she isn't into music, she does like to download/burn CD's of religious sermons/programs. My brother will show her how to use it. We really think she will like it b/c she takes the train to work!

Good luck!

Hi H., We are making stepping stones for the garden. You can buy the molds, stones and paint if you want at Michaels and use his little hand/foot prints to make really nice gifts. I use the better cement you can buy at HomeDepot not the really cheap stuff, but they make special cement to use at Michaels too. Good Luck! R.

I LOVE this site www.personalizationmall.com I got my grandpas fathers gift here and he wears it ALL the time. There are TONS of things to choose from. Mothers rings are always nice and walmart even has some good deals on them too. My mom and Aunt got my gandma though one of those necklaces where you can add kid charms to it and the belly of it is each kids birth stone and she has her and my gramps on it, their kids, their grandkids, and now adding great grandkids. She always gets compliments on it. http://www.silverdreams.net/bichch.html

I have two ideas for you - Shutterfly.com has online mini-scrapbooks for under $15 including shipping that you can personalize. They turn out beautiful (I did these for some family members and they loved them!) and their software online is easy and quick. For Mother's Day I am getting digital photo frames and loading pictures on memory cards ($60 at Radio Shack).

Hi H. - I have a great gift idea. I am a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant and for mother's day I put together these mother's day flower pots. They are clay pots that have a pair of gardening gloves, seeds, our satin hands set and a neat little poem about a "mother's hand" talking about how a mother's hands heal, carry etc. wrapped in cello. I am selling them for $30. I live in Grapevine and I deliver. Let me know if you are interested. The sooner the better. You can contact me direct ____@____.com

Thanks

Probably one of the best Mother's Day gifts I made was decoupaging (sp?) jar candles with my son's pictures on it for all the grandmothers. I printed off a bunch of his pics from birth to that date and included of course pics of the grandmother's with them and used sparkle decoupage to paste all over the jar. They turned out great! And it was extremely inexpensive!!! Good luck!

have you ever thought of something kinda out of the ordinary... like find out her favorite places to eat and buy a gift card for each one of them.... or... make a little scrapbook about it being another year of loving her and have everyone write something in it about another reason they've loved her more over the last year.... does she have any special hobbies or crafts that you could get her lessons for ... something she could indulge in that she normally wouldn't herself... what about paying for a night or two at a local B&B /spa where she could pamper herself.

ooooooooooor you could be lazy like me and just take them all to brunch at the gaylord and call it done! LOL
