Miracle blanket/Swaddling

I also used the Miracle Blanket with my daughter and it worked wonders!! However, we stopped swaddeling her once she could wiggle her way out of it, which was at about 4 or 5 months old. Then, our problem was keeping her on her back. I tried placing her in one of those sleeping wedge things and it worked only about half the time. Nothing else really helped until she learned how to roll herself over both ways. I wish I had a better answer, but for us, it just took time. Good luck!

I use the swaddle me blankets also. My daughter too wiggles her arms out, so I just started not swaddling her arms in and it works. I just start the swaddle right below her arm pits and she is comfy and safe for the night. My daughter is younger, 4 months, but I hope this may help.

what makes the miracle blanket different is that it's patented design allows you to fit it snuggly and perfectly to your child. Because the wrap is extra long it fits from premie to (in some cases) 1 year olds and secures the hands and arms at the sides making it difficult to roll over for most babies. It doesn't use any velcro, pins or ties, it is the patented design that prevents it from getting up around the face or allowing baby to kick out of it. Many nanny's, pediatricians and consultants recommend it. I have used it on a 6 month old for the first time being swaddled and it worked until she was 1 year old as a form of non verbal communication that sleep was expected to follow. She could not roll over in it. I have seen some very aggressive boys learn how to arch and roll at 10 months however so you would stop swaddling then.

YES!!!! The Miracle Blanket is better than any swaddling blanket out there. It definitely keeps them swaddled and does not come loose. I also think it is suppose to be used up to six months per the instructions, however I used it up until my baby was able to roll over constistently, I then slowly weaned her off swaddling by not wrapping up her legs, then transitioned her to a Halo Sleep sack, just for comfort once she could move around a bit. She was basically swaddled from birth for night time sleeping. Best of luck to you!

I haven't tried the miracle blanket, but have you ever considered putting his bottom in one of those positioners? It's basically two little wedges that keep them from turning over (in theory). It might help prevent the rolling over.

I actually purchased the miracle blanket for friends of ours and they have thanked us several times for it. So I'm assuming it has worked wonders for them.

I plan on buying one for our little one due in June.

We used the Miracle blanket and loved it. I think it's supposed to be good up until 6 months old, but we took my daughter's legs out of the bottom and just swaddled her arms/chest at about five months because she was a long baby at birth. She wouldn't sleep without it. I don't know anything about the kidopatomus for comparison.
