There are some things about this site I just can't figure out! When reading answers to questions, lots of times at the bottom of an answer there will be a note that says, "4 Moms found this helpful." I picked the number 4 at random, it can be any number. How do you mark an answer as helpful to you? Also, Do you have control over your own questions and answers? LIke if you've asked a question that you think came out all wrong after the fact, can you delete it? Just wondering, thanks for all your help!

What can I do next?

Once you click a flower for a response you thought was good, it shows as "1 mom found this helpful".
You can't delete anything on here, you can go back and edit at any time tho.

When you send a flower to another mama or papa - you are telling them you found their contribution helpful, liked what they said or agree with what they said or just a mix of all of the above.

Yes. Questions can be deleted. You can remove your question by editing it and deleting all the words. However, if people have responded to it and you do that? It makes those that have answered feel like they have wasted their time and future mama's might not respond to your future questions - especially if you make a habit of it.

Another way to delete the question is to go to the bottom right corner of the screen and select the "contact us" link - you can ask Mamapedia to delete it.

Another way is to ask mama's to report it - that's not cool really as Mamapedia does keep track of the reportings - at least that's what they told me.

If you don't like the way your question came out - Edit it. However, do NOT do like some people do and edit the whole thing so that those who have answered look funky...if you don't like the way it came out - select your question and "edit it" but putting something like: EDITED, or ETA (edited to add) and then put "original post" above your original question.

You can also edit via the "so what happened" - aka - SWH and add more that way.

Hope this helps!

'Send a flower' to mark as helpful.

You can not and PLEASE DO NOT delete/edit/remove questions. The reason you can't delete is the whole purpose of the sight is to keep posts up with the responses so it can help other mom's going forward, women who may be dealing with the same thing. It's a huge pet peeve on here when people 'dirty delete' (just a heads up!)

The "4 moms found this helpful" is when you send a flower. You can edit your questions and answers. I have done this when my spelling is incorrect or when I want to add something.

You can't ever really delete your question - even if you remove the text, the answers with still be there, and so will the context of your question. So deleting is really pointless & makes others feel like they've wasted their time.
