I live in the 75214 area of Dallas & am looking for a house cleaning service. We are getting ready to put our house up for sale & I would like a good cleaning prior. I have contacted a few but they either don't service this area or are over $200. I emailed MerryMaids last Friday for a quote but haven't received a response. I have heard questionable reviews about them though. Any referrals would be appreciated!!!
I would try www.freefromdust.com they are insured and bonded and they have resonable prices. I have not started using them yet, but I will start next week. You can request a qoute from the websit or contact them via phone. They will give you an estimate over the phone and it is per square feet not by the hour which is better in most cases. They quoted me for 65.00 for a 1500 sq foot house. Good Luck hope this helps.
A sweet mother has been cleaning for us for years and is unbelievable! She does it all for a reasonable price. We pay $85 for her to clean 1300 sq ft. She is a good woman in need of work, and I have always felt comfortable leaving her alone to clean.

I too have been looking for a good cleaning service. My husband got The Maids (not Merry Maids) to come over and clean our house. I would NOT suggest them at all. They did not clean under the cabinets and did a very average job for a HIGH price.

I have a housekeeper, Delcia, who I really like and she's looking for more houses to clean because some of her clients have moved. She does not speak English, so you would need to call her friend, Maria, to translate for you. ###-###-####. I've been using her for a couple of months and have been very pleased. She charges $65 and comes to my house every other week.
At this time I can't recommend a service, but I would agree with you about Merry Maids. They charge us $92, twice a month and sometimes I can't even tell they've cleaned. We are cancelling as soon as I start working from home in August because they charge so much and I know I can do a better job (but just don't have the time now).
