Looking for Trustworthy Babysitter

Where could I find a high school student or college student that might be interested in babysitting a 6 month old? Are there employment boards at local schools or colleges that I might post an ad? I'm so frustrated with nanny services and their fees and their inadequate care at times. Any help would be a blessing.

Have you tried Nannys and Housekeepers USA? I have not yet as I am not due for another 3 weeks but I have 2 very picky girlfriends who use that service.

We just signed up with SitterCity.com. I haven't actually used anyone from there yet, but I have contacted some people. Let me know what you findout about any boards at schools, etc.

Please someone help us all with this question. I called the UMC because they do babysitter training for the kids who babysit but do not allow you to post or refer any local highschool students. They had no way to put me in contact with a responsiable high school student that may be looking for a job. I've even tried my church and no will get in touch. I guess kids just don't babysit anymore.
