Looking for Some Fun for Me and My 7Yr Old Son and 8Mth Old Baby Girl to Do

I'm a mom seeking for some fun for my 7yr old son and 8mth baby girl to do today. We attempting to go swimming yesterday and the three pools and water park I went to were all closed. Does anyone know of some place I can take my kids that is kid-friendly and fun?

What can I do next?

I am not very familiar with Cedar Park since I live in Austin, but we like to go to the farmers market at the Triangle on Lamar Blvd each Wed. They have one of those water fountains that has the water spurting at different moments. The kids run through it in swim trunks or shorts. They have live music and food. You could even take your own picnic lunch.

Most public pools will not open till May. There is Deep Eddy and Barton Springs that are open all through the year, but it is mostly for lap swimmers. Do you have a friend that lives i an apt. complex or condo area that has a pool? Maybe they would allow you to visit and play in the pool?

Also I am sure the parks are beautiful this time of year in Cedar park.

Take them to the sprinkler park down by Town Lake. It's in the area across from Auditorium Shores west of the Long Center. They will have a great time.

Make a small water park in your backyard. Go to your nearest Toys r us or wal-mart and get a pool big enough for both of them and the go to big lots and get some lawn water toys for your 7 yrold and I bet you it will be hours of fun. We don't have much money fo I had to become very creative. also go to a park and have snack time outside...

Children's Museum at 2nd and Colorado has something for both. Remind your 7 yr old to stay in sight. Bring a sling for your daughter and you are all set.
