We are moving to the Naperville area in Feb and I would like to enroll my 4 yr old daughter in a great preschool. She has been in a preschool enviro since she was 18 months and loves school. What I am searching for is a preschool program that offers play time along with a real attempt to prepare them for Kinder academically. Any suggestions?

What can I do next?

My 4 yr. old daughter goes to Chesterbrook (rt. 59 & Rollingridge). She has learned a lot in a short time and loves it. Teachers are great and caring. It was between there and Peter Pan, which I liked to but wanted a more learning structure. You may want to check out Peter Pan they offer more of a play-setting. We felt our daughter needed more structure since this was her first time in a pre-school. You will enjoy Naperville and there are plenty of schools to check out.

Both of my children have gone to/go to Peter Pan Preschool North. They have three sites in Naperville(Peter Pan on 75th, North and Little Shepard). I chose the North site because it is a little smaller but I have heard great things about the other two as well. My older son is in Kindergarten this year and I feel that he was well prepared academically as well as having play and social experiences. I'd be happy to answer an other questions if you have them. I will tell you that most preschools are in the process of enrollment for next year. www.preschools.net

My son goes to Peter Pan and we're very happy with it. I think there is a good balance of academic and play time, and the teachers are wonderful. I know there are a ton of options. Good luck!

I second Wheatland Salem Christian Academy! My daughter attended 3 & 4yo preschool there and was very well prepared for kindergarten. Her teachers were so wonderful! I'm very excited for my now 2 year old son to start there next fall. Great facility, programs & teachers. My husband & I really could not have been more pleased with our daughter's progress during her time at WSCA!

My daughter is 3 1/2 and goes to Kensington school in Naperville on 75str. The are wonderful and I have been very impressed by how much my daughter has grown socially and academically. They have a very balanced program and do art every day, learn Spanish and have music as well as the normal academic side of things. You can also enroll them in enrichment classes which is then a more one on one environment is a wide variety of subjects. I picked to school for its wonderful staff and happy atmosphere. I would suggest you go do a tour and see for yourself. There number is ###-###-####. Welcome to Naperville and I hope this helps.

My son attends Wheatland Salem Christian Academy on 95th & Book. It's a wonderful preschool with many options for attendance. The teachers are all wonderful, they have indoor and outdoor play zones and a music room. I highly recommend it!
