Hi Moms,

I'm really struggling with my weight and I really need something to help me along. I'm considering Alli for a couple of reasons but I'm really worried about the bad side effects. I know there are side effects with everything - but anal leakage isn't something that I'm too excited about having. I do like the fact that it forces you to make healthier choices because of the side effects if you don't, but I'm just not sure if it's worth it. I really look for something to help me get going. It's not too expensive anymore and I don't want to spend a lot of money. I've done weight watchers which has helped me before - however - i need something will steeer me away from higher fat foods and I'd tend to eat bad one day and then eat practically nothing the next on weight watchers because I went way over in points. I hope that if I make healthier choices for me - my family will start eating healthier.

S.,

My husband takes Alli and it has really helped him. He has not had any leakage but his stools are really loose when he eats stuff with high fat content. Since starting Alli he has lost about 30lbs and is eating much healthier so he won't have the other issue. I was really nervous when he first went on it due to the same reasons you are. But know that I see it is working to not only help him lose weight but change he lifestyle to I couldn't be any prouder of him.

I was wondering the same thing. Is it safe? Are there any other side effects besides the stool issues? I may give it a try. Im desperate and tired of being over weight. Let me know if you try it. Id love to hear your experience.

Hi S., I read Jillian Michaels book Master Your Metabolism,
I read her book a few months ago because I'm trying to loose all the baby weight I gained over the last few years. I have tried different things like South Beach Diet, Atkins, Alli, other pills, and always gained back what I lost plus more.... so this time I'm trying to do it the natural way...
This book is really for everyone who wants to eat healthy, not just for people that want to loose weight, it talks about all the toxins, chemicals and additives in our food and in our environment, things like high fructose corn syrup, bad fats, processed foods, unhealthy stuff they add to make food last longer, what's healthy and what's not and how all that stuff affects our health.

Basically it talks about getting rid of all the artificial stuff and going back to natural way of eating - fruits, vegetables, beans, whole grains, healthy fats...

It's not only for me, but my whole family is eating much healthier now and it is working - I lost 20 lbs following the diet and working out every other day, just have to keep going....
Good luck

PS - you can get this book from library, don't have to buy it...

Have you considered going to a nutritionist? When I was pregnant I went because of Gestational Diabetes. I learned a lot that I still use to day. Like what foods compliment each other and why. I am doing weight watchers now and I can see the difference with having been to the nutritionist. I am against any of the bottle diets. Good luck.
