Looking for Play Groups Around the St. Louis Area

I'm new to the St. Louis area and I stay home with my son (He'll be 2 next month). I'd like to find a play group or "mommy and me" type activity for him to play with other kids. Any suggestions?

What can I do next?

Hi. My name is C.. My phone number is ###-###-#### (Affton). I'm the contact for the PAT program for playgroups. Debbie mentioned you were looking for playgroups. Hope to here from you. We currently have a few playgroups going on.

You could try MatchingMoms.com. This is how I found some things for my son. (he turned 2 on Friday) You enter your information and it helps get other Moms together.

I'm looking for exactly the same thing! If you get any responses, please forward them to me too. I sent this request out before, but never got any replies. My email is:

Thanks,

If you haven't registered, you should try your are Parents As Teachers organization. It is run through your local school district. I live on the Hill and we have weekly play groups and monthly meetings/ activities. Good luck.

M. hello and welcome to St. Louis. Depending on what school district you live in there is something called parents as teachers program. They come out and do home screenings and play group setting with your child, but they also offer great classes and playgroups for children based on age.
Here is the number for the Parkway SD early childhood center and they can direct you based on where you live. ###-###-####.
Good luck to you and hopefully they will provide you more information!

Hi M.-

I have just recently got together with other moms to form a playgroup in the south county area. I am not sure where you are located, but if this would be convenient for you I can give you more info. My son will be 2 this month and there are 2 other 2 year old boys and another who is 18 months. We try to meet once a week in someone's home or participate in annother activity.
