I have 2 little guys and have put off getting them to the dentist. They should have been 6 months ago so I really need to find a good one that caters to small children.

What can I do next?

I took my son (who just turned 3) to Pediatric Dentistry of Central FL.

We saw Dr. Bishop.

I was very impressed and pleased with how they cater to kids. My son wasn't 3 yet so they did a lap exam where the Dentist looked at his teeth while I had him in my lap. After 3, they can do a cleaning, but will only do it if the child is OK with it--not all kids are ready for this at the same age. Anyways, we'll be heading back there next month to see how he does with a cleaning.

My own dentist is Dr Arenz, whose office is in the Conway area. I took my little ones to a pediatric dentist years back and forked out a buddle of cashola since they didn't take my insurance. Then my hygenist told me they often have dental "assistants" instead of fully trained and certified dental "hygenists" at pediatric offices. So I took my kids to Dr Arenz and have been really, really happy there. My hygenist is Karen-- they are all really wonderful- it depends on what you're looking for-- all of the ladies are really nice and patient with kids, but I will only take my high strung son to Karen because she is very no-nonsense. She explains every single thing she is doing and why it needs to be done, and she taught my son that his gagging was really mind over matter so he no longer throws up when he gets his teeth cleaned! Not sure how young your kids are, but I just found it was NOT worth the extra money and travel time to go to a place with small chairs and toys in the lobby when I had a perfectly good dentist of my own who could also work with children. Tell them the Fox family sent you!!

Hi Wendy. I took my 3yr old daughter to Dr. Chaudry in Baldwin Park and he and his staff were great! It's a new office and fairly convenient. The kids pediatrician recommended him as his top pick. Here's his office info:

Hello. I once had the same dilemma. I discovered my own dentist's office worked well with my small guys... who are now grown. There are tons of dentists in your area, but I felt secure with everyone at Dr. Hodges office. ###-###-####. (They are located close to Par Avenue and I-4. It was worth the trip for me.)

Blessings to your little men!
