So What Happened?

I want to thank all you mommies that offered help in my search to find a new pedi. we have settled on Dr. D. Bain. I must say we have gone once to take our son in for a referral to a urologist and she was wonderful. She called me that night to make sure she had all his medicine info. correct. She also assured me that she took her lab top home every night so she had all his medical history in case of a middle of the night call. I believe I have made a great choice and want to tank you all.

We use William Paruolo in The Colony, which is close to Frisco. If you're going to be on the west side of Frisco, he's actually really close to you (but my family loves him so much that we'd make the drive no matter where we lived!). His number is ###-###-####. His address is 6053 Main St Ste 225
The Colony, TX 75056, so you can pull it up on Mapquest and see where his office is in relation to your house.

Welcome to Texas! (And to Frisco!) Please consider joining a Mom's group of some kind. It's the best way to get your kids into playgroups.
Here's a great website for you:
http://www.aroundtownkidsfrisco.com/
There are lots of links to all things Frisco-with-kids. And, here's the section that lists the Mom's groups in the area:
http://www.aroundtownkidsfrisco.com/html/FriscoMomsClubs.htm
(I'm personally a member of MOMS Club [ http://www.momscluboffrisco.org/ ] I like it because there are small club divisions based on which region in Frisco you live, so you're always meeting with Moms who live near you.)

Good luck with your move! I think you'll really like it here...it's been a very mild summer so far (*crosses fingers*), so you picked a good year to move here! =)

I live in west Texas, and our pedi just moved from here to Frisco. We really like him, he is well trained and thorough. His name is Jay Schwartz. We were sad to see him leave! I will caution you, he has a dry sense of humor. Most importantly...my kids like him and have always been comfortable around him.

I also take both of my children to Christopher "Kit" Newton. He is a great doctor and the staff is very nice and caring. The other two doctors in the office are wonderful as well!!

I use Centennial Pediatrics as well!!! They are awesome. My son is 10 months old and we see Dr. Guetersloh, he is so caring and he's great when interacting with the kids. The two other doctors in the office along with the staff are great as well. Good luck.

We have a great one. Her name is Dr. Rhonda Merchant. She's in Plano (right next to Frisco), my daughter loves going to the doctor, which makes it so much easier to take her there. ###-###-####
She's the type of doctor that figures out how to get you in even if she's full, without a long wait.

Dr. Deborah Bain - she's located at Legacy and Lebanon in Frisco in the shops by Kroger. You can visit her website at www.healthykidspediatrics.com

We really like her a lot. She's very down to earth, never does anything unless necessary, including prescribing medications. I've been taking my 18 month old there since she was about 9 months. We did not like her other pediatrician. Dr. Bain was referred to me from a co-worker who has 3 children and they've been going to her since the oldest was born and he's 8 now. My co-workers wife is also a labor/delivery nurse so I took a lot of stock in what she said about Dr. Bain.

Welcome to TX, we're transplants from Westchester County, NY so we've been there!! :)
