Hello ladies,
I am looking for an ENT that you have had good experiences with in the metro area. My son is 1 year old and is facing the possibility of getting tubes put in his ears. He has had an ear infections (both ears) for 2 weeks, changed antibiotics 3 times and he is miserable. I just want him to get better so badly because he really doesn't understand what is going on!!! And for those of you who have had experience with this, were you glad you made the decision to gets tubes put in? What was the recovery like? Thanks for taking the time to share your experiences!

What can I do next?

My daughter had her tonsils and adnoids out at the age of 6 1/2. The person who took them out did a great job and she recovered quickly. He was very personalbe with adults and children alike. His name was Dr. Eric Becken with Midwest ENT. Their area of service is Minnesota and Western Wisconsin. He actually does certain times at my clinic in New Richmond where I was refered to him by my physician. He explained everything very clearly and made me feel at ease with the procedure. Since my daughter was a higher risk surgery he had me bring her over to Childrens in the Cities.

I myself had tubes in my ears twice when I was little.

GOOD LUCK!!!

My 3 year old son had his tonsils & adenoids removed last year (due to chronic sinus infections) by Dr. Malone at Midwest ENT in St. Paul. She's very brief and to-the-point, but she did a great job with him.

Hi J.- My 1.5 year old daughter had a cyst in her neck that had to be removed, and it was found by me while getting ready for church on christmas eve a few years ago so needless to say we had a long holiday. I took my daighter to the regular ped and they sent me directly to the ENT. I refused to let anyone touch her neck with a knife until I knew what was going on and the details of who that person was. If I was not sitting at a doctors office with my daiughter I was on the phone or the internet researching doctors and found the best for us, her name is Dr, Inell Rosario. She works out of many clincs, Central Medical, Mapplewood ENT, Woodbury ENT. What sealed the deal for me was 2 situations, Dr. Rosario shakes your hand and talks to you like a person lets you ask every question over and over until you understand it and she will continure to explain in as many different ways as needed. She also talked to my daughter, not over her or around her but to her as well. See always has time, but always seemed to be running on time. And the itme to top off the cake- she called me at home on a saturday evening to see how my daughter was doing.

Hope this helps, good luck!
