My pediatrician recently left Austin. I have been searching EVERYWHERE for a new doctor!!
My previous pedi. was wonderful and set the bar very high. If anyone has a pediatrician that they just LOVE, please let me know, and please tell me why they are so great! I want someone that you would never even consider leaving because they are SOOOO GREAT!!!
thanks in advance :)

What can I do next?

Seton Northwest, Dr. Mary Petropoulos - only reason we left her is because we moved. We're moving back to the Austin area and we'll be going back to Dr. Petropoulos - another plus is that we know her, she graduated HS with my husband. Along with being smart, and a good doctor, she is super sweet and she and her office staff are gentle with our children.

Dr. Ari Brown at Capital Pediatric Group (author of Baby411) is awesome. She is very knowledgeable, down to earth, and a parent herself so she's been there. Our pediatrician used to be in her group, so she's seen my children.

If you don't mind the drive, Dr. Joseph Cohen of Cedar Park Pediatrics is our pediatrician. You can't get better!

Best of luck in your search.

I totally love Maria Scranton with ARC. She's located in Round Rock, TX. I have been taking my son to her since he was 1 yr old and I now have 4 children and take all of my children to her. She's absolutly wonderful and is very sweet and gentle with my children. She also helped diagnose several things that my children had. All of my children are lactose intolerant. My 1 year old at about 7 months old was diagnosed with having Kidney reflux and Dr. Scranton diagnosed it. When we took her to the children's urology group Dr. Sementias indicated that sometimes diagnosing this at this early age is typically missed but is very good to find at this early age in order to avoid kidney scarring. I trust Dr. Scranton with all of my children and like I said she will run any necessary test to ensure that your child is fine. The first doctor that had taken my son to I won't say the doctor's name but it was here in Georgetown and that doctor was always about nothing is wrong let's just wait and see aproach and I totally didn't like that not to mention numerous times my son did end up needing antobotics about 1 week later and then another doctor's visit copay fee. Also one other great thing about ARC if you child gets since in the afternoon or on a Sat. or Sun. you can take them to ARC Farwest or any of the ARC locations since most have after hours and you can take your child as late as 8:30pm. This helps in avoiding an emergency room fee and they can treat just about anything. Hopefully this helps...

Dr William Caldwell is the best! 2 weeks after i had my son, i started to feel ill while at his office, he called me personally the next day to see if i felt better. he's a great doctor, and has been on Texas's "super doctor" list forever.
