Looking for Good Photog in Arl Hts Area and Service to Place Photos in Scrapbks

If you have all of your pics on digital sources, you can upload to snapfish.com (a great site) and you can either place them in your own designed book, or they will take the pics you pick and place them in a book and all you have to do is place captions if you want and order! They print beautiful books for you. Also, it is a great way to have additional storage of your pics and you can share with others via email. Once you are started it is easy to complete. Also, what I do is go through the pics I have and corodinate them with the paper I want to use and lay them in the book I will put them in, then another day I adhere all the pics and place embelishments and put them in the books. It is less daunting to break it up. Good Luck

Hi, I actually live in the Champaign-Urbana area so I do not know about local photographers in your area. But, I am starting with a company called Heritage Makers and it is a place where you publish your own books with your own photos. It is similiar to real scrapbooking but a lot quicker and not all the mess. It is all digital and they print your beautiful book. You can purchase credits from me to purchase the books at a discount and than you have a year to create them. I am also a graphic designer so I do also offer my creative services if you are interested in someone else creating your books with your photos. They also have templates that you can just place your photos and I am also creating lots of templates for my customers. For your shoebox of photos I am going to be getting a high speed scanner in January that can quickly scan all your photos to digital. I am not a profesional but I am an avid scrapbooker who would love to do this for someone/ I am a stay at home mom with an invalid mother-in-law who I care for so work from home is my favorite thing. There is an awesome local photographer located in Arlington Heights by the name of Brianne Bradbury. does location photography and is great to work with...beautiful shots!

Make sure the photographer is legit - has a website - has a BUSINESS LICENSE - has INSURANCE - someone who is just running their show out of their home and does "natural" light usually means they are amateur and your portraits will reflect their skill level -

some clues -
do they take a credit card - merchant account (which means they need to have a federal ID) or are they doing business and telling you to make your payment on pay pal

are they showing your their work on snapfish - (or some other non professional website)

do all their samples look like the same kids (probably their own)

are they charging $2 - 5 - or 7 for an 8x10

if any of the above is how they do business - you might want to let them keep practicing on their own kids - and not yours.

I have not personally used this photographer but have a couple friends who have with their toddlers. The photos turned out fantastic. She only used natural light and brings a handful of props to your shooting location.
