Hi,
Hope you could share some ideas. The solicitation is for a church school who needs some financial help for student scholarships and other school needs.
Thanks.

What can I do next?

Another place to look at is Sam's. I know quite a while ago we approached them and they made a cash donation. You can hold auctions now online. That way you don't have to set up or incur the expense of having an event. Most business within the neighborhood are more than willing to make donations of services and goods for non-profit organizations in their area. It brings them more customers.

People within your own organization will also donate. You can find so many people with skills or businesses of their own. We've even had some woman who make wonderful cakes donate a decorated birthday cake or specialty item.

Often, as in your case, establishments that have posted "no solicitations" will allow organizations to set up some kind of flyer or brochures, because the "solicitation" is NOT for the profit of another business. It never hurts to ask, and the worst anyone can tell you is "No".

Mgmt at Wal-Mart and Target, etc. also are usually great about allowing tables to be set up outside their front doors. I'm not sure what their rules/parameters are, but you can call and ask to speak to the Mgr or Asst Mgr on Duty (don't talk to anyone else ~ they likely won't know the correct answers).

Good Luck with the Fundraising efforts!

Have you thought about doing a silent auction? I know a church that raised a lot of money for their children's program that way. Church members did donate things, but there were a lot of donations from community stores in the area (all donations are tax expemt). the Auction was held for members and friends etc.

Has the church school considered fund-raisers? There are so many, some with little or no out of pocket expense.

Your organization earns 30% of all orders placed through your website.

All orders are shipped directly to the purchaser.

Hand out the free full color fundraising cards to your members so that they can inform people outside of your organization about your BlessedToys fundraiser.

Your organization earns 30% for all orders places through your website and you will be paid by check on a monthly basis. With a retail price of $20.00 you earn $6.00 for each Messengers of Faith doll sold. Dolls and other products may also be purchased at a 30% discount and shipped directly to you for onsite events or fairs.

Please contact me at ____@____.com to order your kit.

How do I put on a successful campaign?

Here are some tips to help ensure that your fundraising campaign is successful.

Introduce the fundraiser through bulletin inserts, email message to members or organizational newsletters.

Purchase the fundraising "kit" so that members of your organization can see and feel the quality of the products.

Have a respected member of your organization introduce the fundraiser and let members know a specific purpose for the funds being raised (ex., new playground equipment, books, picnic).

Hand out fundraising cards so that members can give them to friends and family.

Ask members to purchase and donate products to a worthwhile organization or underprivileged child.

Why is this program important?

We know that fundraising is an important part of what you do, to pay for special programs, equipment and other needs. We also know that toys like Tales of Glory can be great resources for teaching children Bible stories and are directly related to your ministry. This is a fundraiser everyone can feel good about.
