Hi Everyone. I am a mom of a 3 and a half year old son with mild Autism. I am looking for a Dentist who specialized in kids with Special Needs. My son is VERY SENSITIVE when it comes to looking inside his mouth, and getting him to brush his teeth is a real chore and usually full of struggle and drama, though I do my best to "make it fun". He really needs a teeth cleaning and I would love to find him a gentle and caring dentist -- with ALOT of patience. We live in Pasadena, but will gladly travel to wherever as long as it is a good experience for him.

You might try Dr. Thom Segura on Foothill in Arcadia - he or his hygenist Crystal are great with kids and really gentle. Worth a phone call to discuss with Dr. Segura.

I am trying to get the office info of one my very good friends. She is the nicest lady, and so patient. I sent her your post, and should hear back from her today. I believe (but am not positive) her office is in Glendale.
I don't know if this dentist specializes in Special Needs, but she is a Pediatric dentist and is so great there is a wait to get a cavity filled! I got right in to see her the first time, but will have to wait weeks for the cavity appointment. Her name is Dr Rebecca Lee Pair and she is in Porter Ranch. Very nice office, staff and demeanor... totally geared towards children. She was very patient with my son and has kids of her own. My pediatrician recommended her and refers all her patients to her.
