Does anyone have a good reference for a housekeeper in the Western Suburbs of Chicago. Looking for someone to do the 'big' stuff.....floors, kitchen and bath, and dusting of surfaces mainly. Someone that is trustworthy, does a good job cleaning and doesn't cost too much? I am going to have to break down and have someone come at least once a month....I can't keep up! :)

I've been using a woman named Bonnie for about 6 years now. I started using her company when I lived in the West Loop - to deep clean our condo before our first child arrived, and then again before we moved out. When I couldn't find anyone good around here (Brookfield), I called to ask her if she'd come out this way. She does, and I've used her every few weeks ever since. She charges $20/manhour and she and her crew do a FANTASTIC job. I am picky about my house, although not as picky as some I know, but I've never been disappointed with them. And they not only do a great job cleaning the everyday stuff (dusting, sweeping/mopping, vaccuuming, etc.) but I've also asked her to occasionally do some extra things (clean out the oven/fridge/freezer, wash down some walls) and she hasn't charged me anything over my normal cleaning, even though it takes them longer to finish with these extra tasks. I can't say enough good things about her. She's awesome and I suggest you give her a call to see for yourself! Her number is ###-###-####.
