Looking for a Fun Outdoor Park
Tired of the same old scenery at Minnehaha and Nokomis beach/park any suggestions on a park to try? Prefer dog friendly with walking trails and play area. Thanks

This is a bit of a drive for you, but would be a fun outing. There is a great Three Rivers Park on the west shore of Lake Minnetonka. You drive west on Hwy 7 then turn right on Cty Rd 44. It has an enormous playground, sprawling picnic area, trails, and beach on the bay. There are also restrooms. It is called Lake Minnetonka Regional Park, 4610 County Rd 44, Minnetrista, MN 55331.

We like to go to Moir park in Bloomington. It has two play areas for the kids (one for older kids and one for younger kids) and it also has walking trails down by the creek. Its a beautiful park!

Blackhawk park in Eagan, Jensen Lake Park in Eagan. Hyland Park in Bloomington is AWESEOME, the kids will not get bored with this one, they will be begging to go back. Do a search for "parks" and what every city, thats what we do.

You could try Hyland Park reserve in Bloomington. The park is called Chutes and Ladders. There are trails to walk, picnic areas and you can rent a paddle boat or canoe to take on the lake. Here is a link so you can see the park. Also I think it's dog friendly but I'm not 100% sure. Good luck!

Three Rivers Park in Bloomington has an outstanding outdoor play area with tunnels and ropes and plenty of slides for the kids. They also have tons of picnic areas, biking and walking trails and a great canoe/paddleboat area. We love going there!

I'm sure if you live in the area you are aware of these parks but I'll mention them: We also like going to Hiawatha (although the rec center is under construction) and will also drive to Powderhorn Park, Pearl Park, or even Lynhurst. All are part of the trail system.
