Looking for a Family All-inclusive Resort/ Beaches or Atlantis...or Anywhere Els

Can any of you recommend a family all inclusive resort? We will be traveling this summer with a 4 yo and a 1yo, so maybe not too long of a flight. I am interested in the Carribean...anyone know about Beaches Jamaica or Atlantis in the Bahamas? Any other suggestions would be appreciated!

Atlantis is not all-inclusive. Besides Beaches, also check out Club Med. They have all-inclusive family resorts in Punta Cana and Guadaloupe, and a couple in Mexico. www.clubmed.com

My husband and I went to Atlantis three years ago (before we had our child - we have an 11 month old boy) and we could not believe how many kids were there. There are so many different pools, water slides, beaches, family activities, it would be great place to take children. We even commented, if we ever had kids this would be a great place to come back to vacation, I guess now it's time to go back. I have never been to a Beaches resort, but I have heard good things about them too. Your kids are probably too young for this, but for future reference, I have had two friends go on Disney crusies and said they were awesome.
Where ever you end up going, I hope you have a great time!

We went to the Beaches Resort in Jamaica last summer. My boys were 4 1/2 and 23 months. We all had a wonderful time!! It is a long flight to Jamaica and the bus ride was long to our resort (Boscobel). I heard that the one closer to the airport was better anyway, but it also fills up faster!! We were there 5 days and 6 nights and never got bored!! Both kids loved the characters and the nighly entertainment was great for them!! They also had some adults only restaurants if you wanted to hire a nanny for the evening!!

We really enjoyed the child care, but I've got to warn you about one thing. For 2 and older they take the kids out of the kids area for lunch and some activities. I was not comfortable with this for my 4 yo (due to some developmental delays he has) so we hired a nanny to watch over him during these times (was only $5 an hour). That way he got to go with the other kids, but someone was there to watch him closely just in case he wandered off or tried to get in the water. They really didn't seem to have any problems with any of the other kids, but for us, this was money well spent!! He still got to participate and we got peace of mind.

I really liked the Beaches Resort and would like to go back again some time!!

Atlantis is fantastic for families! There is so much to do. They are adding a new part in 2007, which looks great. They have a daycare that kids would love if you wanted to take advantage of that. There are tons of families there too. We've been to other Carribean islands, but Atlantis was no comparison for luxury and family oriented. Have fun wherever you choose to go and take lots of photos :)

There is a great website you can check out that has candid reviews of resorts throughout Mexico and the Caribbean. It's chris-n-cheryl.com. I visited this site a lot as I was planning a trip to Jamaica that my husband and I went on this summer. We went to Sandals Whitehouse. It's not a family resort, but Sandals and Beaches are the same company. We really had a good time, and Sandals/Beaches are supposed to have the best food out of the all inclusives. You can also check out tripadvisor.com for more reviews of resorts and candid photos taken by travelers. So you can see what the resorts really look like and not just go by brochure pictures. Good luck.
