Lincoln Park Hairstylist Help

I have curly hair and have struggled with it. I found the most amazing guy on Belmont and Western. The salon is called Capelli. I pay $85.00 for a hair cut, style, color and highlights. He is the best that I have ever been to.

I really like Salon 1800, and when you call just tell them that you want a specialist that works with curly hair.

I have thick, wavy hair. My stylist can give me a curly or straighter look - and show me how to reproduce them. She also recently cut my five year-old daughter's hair, and did a great job. My daughter is bi-racial, so she's got super-curly hair. Alyssa Davidson is the name of the stylist, and she works out of J. Andrews Salon. She charges $50 for an adult woman's cut. The location is 1260 N. Dearborn, and telephone number is 312/951-5338. I've gone to Alyssa for the past three or so years. A bonus is she's a super-nice person!

Not sure if money is an issue, but Ashley at Michael Anthony on North Avenue is great. I've been going to her for years. She has helped me tame my waves and I have another friend who has really curly hair who started going to her (independent of me) and loves her. Unfortunately, her price for a hair cut has gone up over the years -- I think she's around $80 now.

My husband and I love the stylists at Salon Solome on Diversey at Halsted. We go to either Leticia (who is great! with color) or Yvette, the owner. Good luck!

Not in Lincoln Park, but I go to Styling Studios in the south loop. Its at like 15th & Wabash. I see Katie. I have the thick wavy, frizzy Italian hair and she makes it look great. She is a manager there. The cut and style is about 50 bucks.

I've been going to Salon V since I arrived in Chicago from the UK. They are fantastic - Veronica the owner is a great stylist and so is Julia. Either are very experienced. I've never had a issue with them for cut or color.

I have very thick, frizzy hair. I love Angel at Salon Buzz on Superior (River North location). He has cut my hair for the past couple of years and makes it look great!

George the salon on Hubbard- try George..he is the best for my curly/wavy hair. Tell him K. sent you- you will be sooooo happy!

My friend owns K.Chula hair salon on Oakley and Division...I have thick, curly hair and so does my mother. She has been doing our hair for 8 yrs now...Not sure on prices...I think a cut and style may be around 40. Good luck!

In Andersonville there is a gal that was trained in NY buy the curly girl specialists at Devachen. Her name is Cali and she is at Toujours but like the others I think her rate is 75.00.
