I don't have an answer, but a suggestion for when you get one.....

WASH with hydrogen peroxide fairly often. The brushes I've bought my son (whatever character he liked. I don't know what brand).... well they have an oblong little hole towards the top behind the bristles. After a while - that hole collects yucky bacteria or what-not. I pour hydrogen peroxide in the hole and on the bristles and it starts to foam up quickly and brown yuckies comeo out of the hole.

Needless to say - if you get an electric brush and it has this oblong hole (not sure why it's there or what it's function is), clean often or trash and replace often. I have always trashed a toothrbrush even before the battery runs out.

I just bought Oral B "Vitality" ones for my kids (ages 9 and 12). They love electric toothbrushes and it has always been a struggle to find ones made for kids that have a small enough brush head to actually fit in between their cheek and teeth. Some of the kiddie ones are HUGE and FAT.. fine for the front teeth, but the ones further back... doesn't work so well.

The sales papers the other day had coupons for the Oral B electrical rechargeable ones. $10 off coupons. So I got the $23 ones for $13 each. My kids are gonna be happy! :)
Just check for the brushhead size and make sure it looks like it will fit in your kids mouth when brushing along the outside of their teeth. I bought my daughter the Colgate one a while back (had a smaller brush head) and when it died, I thought I'd just replace the battery. But even with a new battery, it was just dead. So I won't buy that brand again.

Sonic care!!!!!!! We got one for our daughter, she loves to brush her teeth now!! It beeps each time you need to switch sides of your mouth, and shuts off automatically! It is about $30 bucks, but I have to tell you the best $30 I have spent in a long time!!

I have found that those Dora, Hello Kitty, etc electric toothbrushes to be to hard for her gums, they would always bleed!
Good Luck!!

I'm not sure if you're talking about girls or boys. But, my daughter LOVES her My Way electric toothbrush. It comes with a bazillion waterproof sitckers and they can decorate it any way they want. =0) So far, they don't have them for boys, which really makes my son sad. But, I'm sure the boy version isn't too far off. They are from spinbrush.......check it out......
