Kid Friend Hair Cutting Places

I was wondering if any of the moms out there can help me.I am looking for a place to take my little boy to get his haircut for the first time. He has a rough time sitting still. He is 18 months old and we have been just trimming it when he is sleeping. We want to cut it short. I am looking for a really kid friendly place. Thanks!

What can I do next?

Hi RG,

I take my son to Cool Cuts 4 Kids in Huntington Beach. You can go to their website at: www.coolcuts4kids.com to get the address and hours. I took my son there when he was 14 months old and they did an awesome job and all the sylists are very patient. They have plenty of distractions for kids ranging from videos, toys and a fire truck chair for boys which my son loves. If you sign up for their rewards card you'll start to receive coupons for $3 off. I believe haircuts are $16.95

I bring my son to First Cuts in the Mission Viejo mall. He loves to sit in the rocket ship and watch TV while his hair is being cut. They also have a loyalty program which helps since boys need their hair cut so often!

Hi R G,
I have a 2 year old boy that does just wonderful at First Cut in the Mission Viejo mall. I've used several of the stylist there for him and our almost 5 year old daughter. We have been very happy with everyone. We've been taking our son there since he was 1 and has not once had a problem there, and trust me - I expected he would since our daughter started giving us a problem when she was about 18 months. I notice you are in Huntington Beach, there may be a First Cut up there. I would be sure and find a Kid Friendly place - there are a lot of them out there. First Cut has rocket ship chairs and TV's playing cartoons at every station which keeps the kids busy. If you find a place like that it will make it easier on you and more pleasant for your little man.
Good luck!

Someone mentioned Kiddie Kastle, I recommend them too, it's small not really flashy, but the ladies there all do a great job! However, it's not in Huntington Beach however, it's in Cypress, across from Forest Lawn. The owner Charlene is my favorite, but anyone there can handle a sqirmy toddler with style! I've heard good things about Rainbow Kids in Huntington, but have no personal experience there.

we went to California Kids near Tustin and Chapman and she really liked it.

Kiddy Castle in Huntington Beach does a really great job.
They have cars, etc as chairs that the kids can sit in while theyre getting their hair cut and they give them toys to play with as well. They dont have to hold really still, the stylists are excellent at cutting moving heads.
