K.,
I recently bought a KIA spectra...little car, but I love it! We bought it for gas milage and it has been Awesome! Anyway, you can't beat KIA's warranty...10year 100,000 miles...great deal! We had a great experience with our car salesman and have referred several people to him. Each time we have sent him a referral he has written a thank you card and sent us 50 bucks! So if you are going to buy one...use our guy! He is at the dealership in fort worth over by ridgmar mall. Anyway, his name is Scott Cusenz (cusents)! Good luck, let me know how it goes if you use Scott!

We own one and really like it. It is a great car for the money. The service we have received from Kia has been great and we have not any major problems with the car (we bought ours in 2005). THe only complaint I have is that there are no vents in the back seat. If you are used to driving a car, there would be no difference but if you are used to a bigger SUV than you might not like losing those vents. I have one daughter and am pregnant with a second and we are considering trading ours in because my daughter gets way too hot and sweaty in the Texas summers.

I have a friend at work that just bought a new one and she really loves it. I had one as a rental when I was in Utah last year, and was quite impressed. It really handled the elevations and was really comfortable ride. Only issue was a flat tire from a slow leak (just bad luck with a nail in the tire). We eventually will replace our '00 Jeep Grand Cherokee in a few years and will look at the Sorento as an option.

Hi K.-

I owned a Kia (Sportage) and it was the worst mistake I ever made! Nothing but problems. One of my good friends has a Kia Sorento and has had issues with hers since day one as well! I feel you get what you pay for and I'm willing to pay a little more for the piece of mind that I will not have to worry about repairs (under warranty or not it's still a pain to get things fixed). Good luck with whatever vehicle you choose.

I have one I bought last year and I really like it. I think it is alot of car for the money, and I have had no problems with it. My husbands Kia needed some work under warranty done, and they were great about it. Mine does have one rear vent on the back of the console, but I do wish it had ceiling vents. Other than that, no complaints, and it drives great:-)
I don't know that you could fit 4 kids in it though.
