Jungle Gym for My Son's 3Rd Birthday,

we're looking into Walmart versions right now, and they seem to be much more reasonably priced. Also Lowe's or Home Depot have component parts that you can put together, but the kits are also pretty expensive in the end. But probably still a little cheaper than the $1-2k ones. What we do first is always shop on Craig's List and Freecycle to see if we can find something local and cheap or free!!

When our son was 3 we got him a Quadro Universal II set.
He's 10 now and still loves it.
It's good for indoors or outdoors or even in a pool.
It's strong enough that I can climb on it.
It's so versatile, and you can take it apart and store the pieces in a fairly small space.

Have you tried craigslist or freecycle...pick a used one up for cheap! clean it up and boom...instant fun! that's what we did and my daughter does not know the difference! you will be surprised at how many are out there! good luck!

I don't know where you're located, but you might want to try a place called the barnyard (I think) - www.woodsmenbarnyard.com. They have a MD and PA location. They make the big wooden (or vinyl) swingsets too, but you also have the option of just purchasing the "tower" part and then can have a slide, rock wall, climbing net, etc. added. The website doesn't have prices, but if you call and ask for a free brochure, they'll send one with a price list so you can decide if it's in your price range.

We went through this search for a reasonably priced "cool" swing set and decided on Walmart. We've had the "Tacoma" version for 2yrs now. Its holding up well and our girls really enjoy it. The trick is finding out when your walmart will get a shipment and getting it as soon as it arrives because they seem to fly out of the store! Good luck!

look on craigslist.org ive seen one being given away once. great deals on there.

I would recommend looking on Craig's List. You can get some great deals on these kinds of things. I would recommend looking on Toys R Us or Walmart for what you want and then searching for it on Craig's List.

hey take a look at walmart.com they have sets that are range from 399.00 all the way up. we actually just got one from there and couldnt be happier. not sure where you are located but most of them in the area carry the maridon (599) in stock and the pathfinder which is 399 i have only found at the prince frederick store.

You should check out the ones at Home Depot or Lowe's. All you do is buy the wood and the accessories, like the slide, ladder, swings and build it yourself. It's definitely a lot cheaper than buying it from the big stores. And it will last longer than the ones from Walmart. Also I think there is kits you can buy and I'm sure they come with instructions. We are doing this for our daughter, who is about to turn 2!
