JFF: Does This Poop Match My Shirt?

Depends on the offense...for poop on me, I'm changing that every time. Just yuck. For puke, yeah I'm changing that one too. Pee as well. I guess any bodily fluids get on me I will change my clothes. I have had days before where I noted that both myself and the baby were on our 5th outfit of the day (including the pjs we initially changed out of). And that's back when we shared laundry with 2 other apartments. ;/

If one of the kids spills some food on me and I can decently wipe it off, I might roll around the house with a bit of a stain until I need to leave the house.

Lol, I remember when my son was about 3 months he had a horrible spitting up problem. I was going out on a date with my boyfriend (Father of the baby). I put on my nice black coat, held my son for a few minutes before my boyfriend got to my house to pick me up, and left. We went out to dinner and a movie before he brought me home. As he was walking me to the door, he started laughing. I asked him why he was laughing at me.

Apparently when I gave our son a goodbye hug, he spit up all down the back of my jacket without me realizing it! SEXY!!! Lol

I guess I have no staying power, because i am only on baby #1 and have already surrendered! Sometimes my husband comes home and looks at me (and I haven't looked in the mirror all day) and I can just see it in his eyes. . . Bless his heart, he never says a word. Just smiles a little smirk :) The best were the early months when baby needed to nurse every two hours. I'd be wandering around with pee/spit/breast milk all over me, my shirt half of my shoulder, my bra unsnapped, no make-up, no shower. sigh. at least it's gotten a little easier!

I know the feeling. It gets better when the baby gets to be a toddler. Also what saved many an outfit when I had my second baby was a box of clean cloth diapers right next to the glider chair in the living room. I almost always fed the baby in that chair so most of the time I had a burp cloth within reach. I also still always change or at least check in the mirror before leaving the house.

I totally feel your pain. With three kids running around here under the age of five, my daily uniform is tee shirts and lounge pants. I sooo do not care if the baby spits up on me; I just wipe it off and keep on moving. Now, if I get pee or poop on me I'll change clothes. But what's a little burble (spit up) between mom and kid? *shrug*

I also try to look presentable when I leave the house, even if it's just to go to the store. But when I'm at home, who cares? Tee shirt, lounge pants, and my hair in a pony. I like to think that my kids appreciate it because I don't mind playing with them and getting down and dirty. I'm sure my husband would like to see me looking good more often, but I take care of that concern in other ways... >:)

When my son was a baby he had reflux, so he would projectile vomit and I would literally be soaked. He threw up so much that it would get to the point where I was crying because I only had 3 pairs of pants that fit me and they all needed to be washed! My daughter doesn't spit up much, but when she does I just can't be bothered - with 2 kids, a job and a husband who has time to constantly change their clothes?!

LOL.
Hang in there, it does get better.
Don't forget to clean up "once in a while" so you don't forget how to completely.
