Recently, my son has changed his eating. He eats less per sitting but now requires more times for feeding. He was going three hours/5oz. Now he is down to a good 2.5hrs/3-4oz. have you had this happen and did it finally regulate itself back to three??? TY

What can I do next?

How old is your son? He could be going through a growth spurt.

My son eats usually every 2-4 hours anywhere from 2-6 ounces.

I think he's teething and last night he ate every hour or two...like 2 or more ounces each time!

Babies eating habits change with time. If he needs less more often, then that's what he needs. He recently had a growth spurt right? Everything changes with those!

Sounds like a growth spurt. These happen often and your baby will let you know what he needs. No baby that young can be placed on a scheduled feeding and set amount. It will change frequently and that's okay, he is growing. Please don't feed your son cereal yet. He is far too young and doesn't need it right now. Just give him as much breastmilk or formula as he wants. He won't always be this demanding, his little body is just growing. Take care!

I noticed from previous posts that your baby is only a couple of months old , so he will still be a little eratic with his feeding schedule , you just need to feed when he wants and however much he wants at this age , and for your other post about cereal , he really is too young to be having cereal at the moment , he needs to be at least 4 months old before introducing that , personally I would wait until 5/6 months , and then I wouldn't put it in his bottle , spoon feed only.

He is very likely eating for his body type and the kinds of diseases he has inherited. Eating habits of children are not steady. They fluctuate as they grow in height weight and age.
